He studied at the Faculty of Treatment and Prevention of Azerbaijan Medical University from 1979 to 1985.

Between 1985 and 1987, he did a clinical residency at the Russian Federation Scientific Oncological Center.

He has worked as a radiation oncologist at the Department of Radiotherapy of the National Center of Oncology, since 1987. He has been a senior researcher of the Department since 2005.

In 1994, he defended a dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Medical sciences.

He is an author of 80 scientific works, 1 efficiency suggestion and 1 monograph.
