He studied at the Faculty of Treatment and Prevention of Azerbaijan Medical University from 1979 to 1985.

He did an internship at the Institute of Roentgenology, Radiology and Oncology in Baku from 1985 to 1986.

Between the years of 1990 and 1992, he did clinical residency in oncology at the Republic Oncological Scientific Center in Baku. 

He worked as an oncologist at the Interdistrict Oncology Dispensary in Guba, Azerbaijan from 1986 to 1990.

Since 1993, he has worked as a junior researcher at the Department of Thoracic Oncologyof the National Center of Oncology. 

In 1998, he took a course at the Russian Oncological Scientific Center. 

He is a high-qualified specialist in clinical oncology. He actively participates in the scientific-research works conducted at the Department of Thoracic Oncology.

About 80 articles have been published.
