He studied at the Pediatrics Faculty of Azerbaijan Medical University from 1968 to 1974.

Between 1974 and 1975, he did internship in Pediatrics at the Scientific Research Pediatric Institute named after K. Farajova.

He worked as a doctor at the station of Emergency care in Baku from 1975to 1979.

Since 1979, he has worked as an anesthesiologist at the Department of Anesthesiology of the National Center of Oncology.

He is a highly qualified specialist in clinical anesthesiology. In 1993, he defended a dissertation on ”Correction of lipid metabolism disorders in the process of radiation therapy and chemotherapy in patients with esophageal and stomach cancer”.

In 2000, he was awarded the qualification of anesthesiologist-resuscitator of the highest category.
