Biography

He studied at Azerbaijan State Medical University from 1979 to 1985.

Between 1985-1987, he did esidency in Chemotherapy at the All-Union Oncological Center of USSR (currently – RAMS RONC, Moscow, Russia).

Since 1987, he has worked at the National Center of Oncology.

Between 1988 and 1991, in cooperation with the USSR Oncology Center he achieved the establishment of outpatient chemotherapy department in Azerbaijan.

He has been Head of the Department of Outpatient Chemotherapy of the National Center of Oncology since 1991.

He was awarded the degree of Candidate of Medical Sciences  for the dissertation on the topic 'Use of anthracyclines and platinum in outpatient chemotherapy of malignant tumors' in Baku in 1994.

He worked as a medical oncologist at the Russian Oncological Scientific Center named after N.N.Blokhin from 1994 to 1995.

Between 1995 and 1997, he received a postgraduate education in oncology at the All-Union Oncological Center of USSR (currently – RAMS RONC, Moscow, Russia).

He was awarded the degree of Doctor of Medical Sciences for the dissertation on the topic 'Sex steroid hormones and their receptors in primary bone tumors: distribution and clinical significance' in Moscow in 1997.

He is an author of more than 100 abstracts and theses and coauthor of standard chemotherapy protocols – practical recommendations for the treatment of malignant tumors.
