He studied at the Faculty of Stomatology of Moscow Medical Stomatological Institute from 1986 to 1992. 

He did a clinical residency at the National Center of Oncology from 1992 to 1995.

He received a postgraduate education at the National Center of Oncology from 1995 to 1998.

In 1999, he did an observership at the Department of Head and Neck Tumors of the Scientific-Research Oncology Center named after N.N. Blokhin in Moscow.

In 2011, he did an observership at the Department of Otorhinolaryngology of Ege University in Izmir.

He worked as a chief laboratory assistant and researcher at the Department of General Oncology of  National Center of Oncology from 1991 to 2009.

He has been Head of the Department of Head and Neck Tumors of the National Center of Oncology since 2009.

In 1999, he defended a Dissertation on “Epidemiology of  larynx cancer  in Azerbaijan Republic” for the scientific degree –  Doctor of Philosophy on Medicine (PhD) under the direction of Academic Jamil Aliyev. 

He is an aouthor of nearly 30 scientific articles and theses.
