She studied at the Faculty of General Medicine of Azerbaijan Medical University from 1984 to 1990.

Between 1990 and 1991, she did an internship in therapy at the Department of Therapy of Azerbaijan Medical University.

She worked as a medical oncologist at the Department of Chemotherapy I of the National Center of Oncology from 1991 to 2004.

In 1994, she defended a candidate dissertation thesis on “The effectiveness of Vepesid in the treatment of advanced non-small cell lung cancer”. In the same year she was awarded the degree of Doctor of Philosophy.

Since 2004, she has worked as a senior researcher at the Department of Chemotherapy I of the National Center  of Oncology.

In 2004, she defended the thesis on “Functional status of liver in patients with advanced malignant tumors”. In the same year, she was awarded the degree of Doctor of Medical Sciences.

She has attended advanced courses in oncology at the Department of Oncology of Azerbaijan State Advanced Training Institute for Doctors named after A.Aliyev and participated in scientific conferences in oncology.
