Director General of the National Center of Oncology, Academic Jamil Aliyev met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cuba in the Republic of Azerbaijan Alfredo Nieves Portuondo on March 3.

At the meeting, Academic Jamil Aliyev informed the guest about the scientific and clinical activities of the National Center of Oncology. It was noted that due to the attention and care of the President of Azerbaijan, the Center was equipped with new medical equipment and a mobile diagnostic complex. The staff of the center provides high-quality oncology services, performs early diagnosis of malignant tumors, surgical treatment and chemo- and radiotherapy in patients, as well as conducts large-scale scientific research to improve existing treatment methods. At present, the National Center of Oncology is the main organization engaged in the coordination of scientific-methodical and preventive work in the implementation of highly qualified oncology care for the population of the Republic.

After the meeting, Ambassador Alfredo Nieves Portuondo visited the museum of the National Center of Oncology and he left a note about his vivid impressions in the book of wishes.
