He studied at the Faculty of Treatment and Prevention of Azerbaijan Medical Institute named after N.Narimanov from 1976 to 1982.

In 1988, he attended a training course in endoscopy in Botkin hospital in Moscow.

He worked as an endoscopist at the Department of  Endoscopy of the Republican Diagnostic Center in Baku from 1988 to 1995.

Between 1995 and 2002, he was Head of the Department of Endoscopy of the Surgical Clinic named after M.A.Topchubashov.

He has been Head of the Department of  Endoscopy of the National Center of Oncology since 2002.

He has actively participated in local and international conferences in endoscopy, gastroenterology and oncology.

He has 30 publications.
