The VII International Uro-Oncology Symposium was held in Baku

On October 4-5, the VII International Uro-Oncology Symposium was held in Baku, organized jointly by the National Center of Oncology of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Azerbaijan Society of Oncologists.

The symposium was opened by Fuad Guliyev, Deputy Director of the National Center of Oncology. Speaking on behalf of the Center’s General Director Academic Jamil Aliyev, he greeted the participants, gave detailed information about the Center's activities, and wished success to the symposium.

The symposium featured presentations by Academic of the Russian Academy of Sciences and Chief Oncologist of the Russian Ministry of Health Andrey Kaprin; Corresponding Member of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences Academic Sudeif Imamverdiyev; Academic of the Russian Academy of Sciences Mammad Aliyev; Professor of Hacettepe University Cenk Yücel Bilen; Professor of the 9 Eylül University Ömer Demir; Professor of the 19 Mayıs University Ender Özden along with other local and international experts.  

The event included presentations on the role of modern approaches to uro-oncological diseases, exploring different perspectives, followed by extensive discussions.

As part of the VII International Uro-Oncology Symposium, training sessions and several laparoscopic surgeries were held on October 4 at the National Center of Oncology, with experts in attendance.

On October 7, Academic of the Russian Academy of Sciences and Chief Oncologist of the Russian Ministry of Health Andrey Kaprin met with General Director of the National Center of Oncology Academic Jamil Aliyev. During the meeting, a memorandum of cooperation in the field of scientific research was signed between the National Center of Oncology and the "National Medical Research Radiological Center" of the Russian Federation Ministry of Health. The memorandum aims to facilitate joint scientific research programs, exchange of expertise, and the development of collaborative scientific projects between the two centers.
