On April 7, 2021, the XII Congress of Oncologists and Radiologists in memory of Academician N.N. Trapeznikov, organized by the Association of Directors of Oncology, Radiology Centers and Institutes of the CIS and Eurasian Countries, started in video format. The two-day congress brought together more than 5,000 leading experts in oncology, radiology, radiotherapy, surgery and other related fields from more than 20 countries. The congress was dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the first Congress of the organization.

At the opening ceremony, Russian Health Minister Mikhail Murashko greeted the participants and read a congratulatory letter from the Russian President Vladimir Putin.

In his speech at the opening ceremony, Director General of the Azerbaijan National Center of Oncology, Academic Jamil Aliyev stressed the importance of international cooperation in the field of oncology and wished success to the congress.

 A special brochure on the achievements of the CIS member states in the improvement of cooperation in the field of oncology, and an anniversary video on the history of the Association were presented to delegates at the Congress.
