On May 1, 2019, two famous professors  from Oxford University, the United Kingdom, cancer researcher Professor David Kerr, cancer biology expert Professor Nicholas B La Thangue visited the National Oncology Center.

Director General of the National Center of Oncology, Akademik Jamil Aliyev welcomed the guests and gave detailed information about the structure and activities of this giant clinic of the country and recent studies conducted in the field of examination and treatment of patients. Akademik Jamil Aliyev has especially emphasized our country’s, President Ilham Aliyev’s care and attention in the application of the innovations at the NCO.

Professor David Kerr and Professor Nicholas B La Thangue got closely acquainted with the National Center of Oncology, the conditions created for patients at the center.

Professor David Kerr gave a lecture on the topic "The role of  biomarkers in colorectal cancer". An interesting, constructive discussions and exchange of views were among the doctors of the National Center of Oncology and Professor David Kerr. Professor's lecture caused great attention by the physicians.
