On September 6, 2021, the Azerbaijan Society of Oncologists meeting was held at the National Center of Oncology. The event was held in a video-conference format, online on the Zoom platform.

Professor Karimov Aflatun, First Deputy Chairman of the Azerbaijan Society of Oncologists, opened the meeting and informed the participants about the oncological service during the COVID-19 pandemic and the main purpose of the event.

Elvin Hamzeyev, a doctor of the Department of  Thoracic Oncology, Nargiz Afandiyeva, a doctor of the Department of Invasive Diagnostics and Treatment and Turab Abdiyev, a doctor of the Department of Roentgen and USM Diagnostics gave presentations on the topics “Torsion, one of the rare complications after lung resection”, “Invasive diagnostic and treatment methods used at the National Center of Oncology” and "Peritoneal carcinomatosis" respectively.

At the end of the meeting, participants discussed different topics.

The next meeting was scheduled for October 4, 2021.
