Department of Oncohematology
Department was founded in 1994 as a division of hematology.
Department of hematology of National Center of Oncology of the Ministry of the Health of Azerbaijan Republic is a scientific and practical, organizational and methodological center in the system of the oncology service in the drug treatment of several hematological diseases.
The main direction of the clinical work of the department is the examination and treatment of patients with Hodgkin’s lymphoma, non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, multiple myeloma, and in some cases of chronic leukemia. At the same time, staff offices tend to use the most effective methods and means of causal (drug and radiotherapy) and pathogenetic maintenance therapy used in modern oncology. Over the years, the department implemented the scientific and clinical research in the field of epidemiology of lymphomas in Azerbaijan.
Optimized and put into practice effective programs chemotherapy profile patients and widely used modern biotechnology products that improve the efficiency of traditional methods of treatment and quality of life. The results of these studies is reflected in several monographs in over a hundred publications published in Azerbaijan and abroad.
Department deployed for 100 beds and is located on floors 3-4 of the Therapy building of the Center. Branch is fully provided with the necessary equipment.The Department also conducted various diagnostic manipulations. Chemotherapy procedure performed at a high level, with modern chemotherapy regimens, using modern perfusors, experienced medical staff.
