Department of Neurosurgery

Department of Neurosurgery of National Center of Oncology was established on  the initiative of Academician  J.A.Aliyev in 2011 and head of department was entrusted to neurosurgeon Rasim Babayev. All the operations are executed with modern methods and equipments. The applied stereotactic biopsy surgery of brain for hystopathological diagnostics of brain tumors for the first time in Azerbaijan was done in National Center of Oncology in 2012. As the example to Rasim Babayev’s operations that were executed at the National Center of Oncology are given below:

• cancer deseases of brain and spine,
• stereotactic biopsy of brain,
• microsurgery of spine disc herniations,
• spine fixation operations,
• various surgery of brain and spine patologies and etc.
