Academik Jamil Aliyev, Director General of the National Center of Oncology of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Professor Isa Isayev, Head of the Radiation Therapy Department of the Center developed a scientific-medical review entitled "Immuno-Oncology: Biological Bases, Current Status, Prospects for Use in Combination with Radiation Therapy".

Based on the results of scientific research conducted in the world's leading clinics in recent years, the review covers the current general problems of immuno-oncology and the possibility of using radiotherapy in this area. The purpose of the immuno-oncology research is to improve the etiology, diagnosis, prognosis, target and/or individual treatment plans, including hereditary oncological pathologies of malignant tumors, and its ability to recognize and destroy malignant cells by stimulating the immune system.

The review is intended for researchers in the field of carcinogenesis, as well as specialists working on the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cancer.
