Oncological examinations are conducted among children from low-income families and families belonging to other vulnerable categories

On the initiative of Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva, oncology examinations, jointly organized by the Regional Development Public Union and the National Center of Oncology, have been launched in the regions among children from low-income families and families belonging to other vulnerable categories. The purpose of the examinations is to detect the symptoms of oncological diseases in children at an early age and to implement appropriate treatment measures in a timely manner.

During the examinations launched in Agdam, Barda and Tartar regions on June 7-12, the professional medical staff of the National Center of Oncology involved more than 1,200 children of different age groups in free medical examinations. During the examinations, patients with other pathologies have been recommended to attend specialized medical institutions, and on-site counseling has been provided.

Volunteers of the Regional Development Public Union supported the process of the involvement of children in examinations, the regulation of queues in accordance with the requirements of the current quarantine regime and medical education of the population.

Mobile examinations are planned to be held in other regions of the country too.

The Regional Development Public Union and the National Center of Oncology regularly jointly organize free medical examination and treatment in the capital and regions, hold various events in the field of medical education, as well as organize scientific-practical conferences and symposiums.
