6th Uro-oncology Winter Congress started in Azerbaijan Medical University (AMU)on January 30
The opening ceremony of 6th WinterCongress of Eurasian Uro-oncology Association held jointly with Azerbaijan Medical University and National Center of Oncology of the Ministry of Health of the Azerbaijan Republic and the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Turkey.
The rector of Azerbaijan Medical University Academician AhlimanAmiraslanov, Deputy Minister of Health ElseverAgayev, Deputy Minister of Health of Turkey Republic EyyupGumush, Ambassador of Turkey to Azerbaijan AlperCoshgun and other guests participated in the congress.Furthermore, visitors from USA, Europe and Asia took part in the congress and Scientific meeting of Eurasian Oncologists held.
Rector of Azerbaijan Medical University, Ahliman Amiraslanov said that it was important to held the most significant event in field of uro-oncology in Baku for Health of Azerbaijan. Rector also noted that up to 300 visitors from America, Europe,Asia attended in the event and they would talked aboutnew approach protocols in kidney, bladder and prostate cancer,new methods and the latest development in endoscopic, laparosopic, transurethral and robotic surgery.
Deputy Health Minister ElseverAgayev noted that uro-oncology was presently the most developed field of urology and oncology.According to Deputy Minister, great progress has been recently achieved in the treatment of uro-oncology diseases.
Deputy Health Minister of Turkey Republic Eyyup Gumush noted that there were 130 thousand doctors in Turkey, 85 thousand of them worked in hospitals of Ministry of Health. According to him, there are 1600 proefssor of medicinein the country and it enables to get some results : “We are going to strengthen Turkish Health Care system in the World HealthSystem. But, there are some shortcomings. We are taking measures in this direction and will cooperate mutually with Azerbaijanian colleagues”
Furthermore, reports about different topics were made. It was informed about modern methods and the latest development in endoscopic,laparoscopic, transurethral and robotic surgery.
Note that, it will be made150 reports and held discussions in the congress to be finished on 31 January.
