On May 24,2014,with the organizational-support of National Center of Oncology of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan, a scientific-practical conference devoted to World Thyroid Day was held in “Dan Ulduzu” hall of “Park Inn Hotel”.

Seminar was opened with foreword of general endocrinologist of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan, honored science worker, MD, professor Rafig Mammadhasanov. Then ,specialists acted with reports  on program:

Doctor of medical sciences, professor Valeriy Anatolevich Oleinik (“Thyroid Cancer”, head of department of “General endocrine pathology” of  Ukraine Institute of Endocrinology and Metabolism )

Rauf Jabarov (“Antibodies-their role in thyroid diseases”,director of  Republican Endocrinology Center)

Doctor of medical sciences,professor Aziz Aliyev ( “Thyroid Cancer: The importance of total thyroidectomy and regional lymphadenectomy” , surgeon-oncologist of department of  head and neck  tumors of National Center of Oncology)

Fuad Aliyev (“Radionuclide diagnostics and therapy in thyroid diseases”, doctor of the department of Radionuclide of National Center of Oncology)

Seminar passed at a high scientific level and specialists were given numerous questions.
