On December 8,2013 scientific-practical conference organized by the National  Center of Oncology of the Ministry of Health of the Azerbaijan Republic on the theme of “Modern methods of diagnostics and treatment of cancer”  was held in the “Shusha Hall of  Hyatt Regency Baku Hotel”.

After opening ceremony of the symposium, specialists acted with  reports on program: Prof. Dr. Haluk Onat (“Usage and importance of genetic and molecular markers in oncology”, Anadolu Medical Center,Istanbul); Assistant professor, Dr.Bulent Akdogan (“Modern  treatment methods of  prostate cancer”,Hacettepe University, medical faculty, Ankara); PhD. in medical sciences  Fuad Guliyev (“Modern treatment methods of  prostate cancer”, The National  Center of Oncology);
PhD. in biological sciences  Leyla Malikova (“Pharmacogenetics and its role in the treatment of malignant tumor ”, The National  Center of Oncology); Dr. Azad Abdurrahimov (“Disease risk factors in esophageal cancer, The National  Center of Oncology) ;  PhD. in medical sciences  Ilgar Musayev (“The way of progress in HER2-Targeted Therapy” The National  Center of Oncology,); PhD. in medical sciences  Samir Gurbanov (“Modern aspects and treatment of breast cancer”, The  National  Center of Oncology): Dr. Tunzala  Mammadova (“Breast cancer and  genetic examination”, The  National  Center of Oncology); Dr. Alovsat Isayev (“Principles of surgical treatment in osteosarcoma”, The  National Center of Oncology); Dr. Gunay Aliyeva ( “Topicality of surgical treatment of locally advanced and complicated cervical cancer, The  National Center of Oncology). After discussion of the reports, conference ended.
