On September 2. 2012, in Baku a contract on scientific-research  cooperation was signed between the National Center of Oncology  of the Ministry of Health of the Azerbaijan Republic and Belgian Health Fund.

An agreement signed by academician J.A.Aliyev,the  General Director of the National Center of Oncology, and Herwig Fleerackers, the General Director of the Belgian Health Fund provided for the development of research programs and other projects. Parties will cooperate in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of malignant tumors.
